Shaping stories across film, television & beyond
A Brazilian-American filmmaker whose work blends cinematic scale with intimate, grounded storytelling.
Born in Queens, New York to Brazilian immigrant parents, Marcos Siega's journey to directing began in the raw energy of New York's punk scene. As the guitarist of hardcore band Bad Trip, he spent nearly a decade touring the country before channeling that intensity into visual storytelling.
Transitioning to music video direction in the mid-1990s, he quickly established himself with over 100 videos for artists including Blink-182, System of a Down, Weezer, and Papa Roach — earning an MTV Video Music Award and a Grammy nomination along the way.
For more than two decades since, he has shaped the look and feel of some of the most iconic series in television — serving as director, executive producer, and creative architect on shows that have defined the modern landscape of prestige TV. Notably, every television pilot he has directed has gone to series. He spent over a decade in an overall deal at Warner Brothers Television Studios.
Today, through his production company Uncle Shakespeare, Marcos is actively developing multiple new projects across film and television.
